Start with measured composition
Record fat and total solids for incoming milk and each intended finished product. Product names alone do not specify the duty, and this guide does not substitute for the classification rules applicable to your market.
Extraction and blending are different questions
For kernel projects, assess milk composition and recovered fat together with residual meal. For delivered milk projects, assess whether the available feed can reach the target recipe. Adding water reduces fat concentration; it cannot turn a lower-fat feed into a richer product.
Check the complete product envelope
A shared line must handle the agreed viscosity, transfer conditions, homogenization and thermal route for each recipe. Compare samples and cleaning/changeover requirements before treating milk and cream as interchangeable production duties.
